On May 30-31, 2016 the Romanian National Qualifications Authority (ANC) organized a special study tour on “Implementation of National and Sectorial Qualifications Frameworks in Romania” to Bucharest, Romania, for the ARMENQA project’s administrative staff from HEIs and social partners.
During the 2-day meetings the participants got acquainted with the functions and structure of Romanian National Qualifications Authority, Romanian Qualifications Register, Quality Assurance in Higher Education, etc.20160531_172349
Mr. Tiberiu Dobrescu, President of the ANC, welcomed everybody and briefly introduced the main structure and responsibilities of the Authority, as well as the NQA strategy for 2015-2020. Later on the presentation of the Sectoral Committees was made by Mr. Doru Puiu, President of the National Association of Sectoral Committees in Romania, describing the establishment, attributions and financing of sectoral committees.
A short visit to the University Politehnica of Bucharest was followed. Afterwards a coordination meeting was held to discuss some organizational and financial issues regarding the project.
Following the official meetings, the participants had the opportunity to go sightseeing around Bucharest.
On the second day of the meeting Mr. Ion Hohan, President of Fia Test, made a presentation on Quality Assurance in Adult Learning introducing the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for VET and Adult Learning providers in Romania. Then, Mr. Nicolae Postăvaru, Director of ANC, continued the topic of Adult Learning and represented the Perspectives in Adult Learning, relations between education and labor market.
Furthermore, participants were introduced the mission, main functions and services of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania presented by Ms. Cristina Ionescu, Director of Strategies, Policies and Programs Division.
At the end of the meeting a visit to the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest was organized where the participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with faculties and newly equipped biotechnology laboratories. Moreover, they were highly welcomed by the vice-rector of students’ relationships and international relationships of the University Prof. Florin Stănică.
The meeting was finalized by the cultural visit to the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum.
