In the context of continuous monitoring of the Tempus programme the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is developing a comprehensive field monitoring policy. The monitoring is intended to have a better overview of the funded projects, their objectives and results and to become better acquainted with the institutions and stakeholders involved.
The monitoring visit of the Tempus ARMENQA project took place at the Yerevan State University in Yerevan on November 19th during the first visit to Armenia of Ms Almudena Saenz De Miera, the Project Officer of the Executive Agency responsible for Armenia. The meeting was attended by Ms. Almudena Saenz de Miera from EACEA, the National Erasmus Office representatives, and all the partners from 13 HEIs involved in the Project have attended the monitoring visit.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about the activities realised and products developed so far, as well as to observe if the project has encountered any problems in operational and/or financial implementation that can be discussed and solved.

All the relevant materials as minutes, questionnaires, deliveries, others were provided to Ms. Almudena Saenz De Miera and NEO team for understanding the project’s ongoing activities and the progress after the first monitoring in June/July 2014.

At the end of the visit there was a debriefing session and an informal feedback was provided to the Project. The Project outcomes have been highly evaluated by EACEA and NEO representatives, furthermore, it was highlighted that the recommendations from the field monitoring carried out in June and July 2014 have been considered in the project and taken on board. It has been positively noted also the high commitment from the coordinating institution and local partners and in particular the pro-active approach of two leader Armenian Institutions- Yerevan State University and the Armenian State Pedagogical University- who ensure the involvement of all partners in the Project’s activities and decision making.
However, it was pointed out that there is lack of cooperation between several TEMPUS Projects such as ARARAT, INARM, ALIGN and ARMENQA which have similar objectives and it was recommended once again to have a synergy between project representatives and share results of the Project for wider impact and efficiency.
